Music and Worship

FBC is proud of its strong and varied Music Ministry. Several choirs and ensembles provide worship music for worship services in a variety of styles. The Music Ministry here enhances the life of the church through its contribution to worship and fellowship.

Chancel Choir - This primary worship choir provides traditional choral music for the 11am worship service each Sunday and the 10:30am combined service when services are joined. Seasonal contatas are also presented each Easter and Christmas. We sing SATB parts and encourage anyone who enjoys singing to join us at rehearsals each Wednesday night at 7:30pm.

Keyboards – we are blessed with very talented and dedicated pianists and organists whose gifts enhance all services. A pipe organ is the beautiful centerpiece of our sanctuary.

Praise Team/Band - These two groups contribute weekly at the 8:30am service by way of performing contemporary music. Besides the Praise Team chorus, praise team activities include performing skits, reader’s theatre, and puppetry. The group also performs an annual drama and works with church services and Sunday school classes as requested. People of all ages are encouraged to participate.

Handbells - The Handbell Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 5:00pm with around eight performances per year, especially during holidays. This year, they will perform a concert on December 22nd at 4:00pm in the FBC Sanctuary.

Children’s Choir - This choir includes grades 1-6 and fosters musical experiences by singing selections and musicals that are age appropriate. This choir meets on Sunday nights at 6:00pm.

Audio/Visual - Maybe you can’t carry a tune in a bucket but have a knack for technical gadgets. Help our Audio/Visual team! These dedicated individuals make sure all is seen and heard for our weekly services and special musical performances.
